Fatal Charm follows the four members of a high school rock band as they navigate their first studio experience. The music is in the unabashedly emotional tradition of bands like their heroes, the Deftones, and they present their songs as natural expressions of their teenage passion and idealism. But Steinberger's documentary also captures their transition from the idyll of high school stardom through the first difficult years after graduation, when their intense friendships face the inevitable challenges.
